Twas a tricky little round for tipsters this week, with only 5 managing to turn a profit. CHARM STONE ($39.30 BSP) caused a huge boil over in the Manikato, with only Rish ($100 place at $6.80) and Brock ($30 place) finding a slice of the pie. Nobody had any on the win, although Brock thought he did. This left the door open in the Golden Rose, and it was Chriso who struck the winning blow to take the round honours (not sure if he’s actually on a beach somewhere in Thailand, but the Baywatch theme was the only thing that I could come up with).
Chriso had $50 each way on BEIWACHT ($11.75 and $2.79) to score $527 for the round. I was actually surprised by the drift of BEIWACHT, but uncle Chris was up to his old tricks. Rish was second for the round on $480, with Josh and yours truly third on $387.50 after having $50 on BEIWACHT.
The overall leaderboard sees the Cat hold onto a narrow lead from Chriso and Benny Leal – Top 10 below. Sniffles finally lost his perfect record in the Captain Consistency Award, but still leads by two points.
