Sir Stugius Takes Flight 🐾✈️

Our first five race swing is over and it’s fair to say it’s taken a few prisoners with it. Ten tipsters were able to turn a profit, but a whopping 14 tipsters bombed out with -$500! Amazingly, there are still three tipsters who have yet to find one single winner!! That’s -$1600 and unfortunately time to give them a shout out 👋 Shoggers, Buzz and Sim.

At the other end of the table, Douggg (aka the Stug) took out line honours with $100 on SIR DELIUS ($9.20 BSP) in the Turnbull, $100 on AUTUMN GLOW ($1.91 BSP) in the Epsom and $100 on APOCALYPTIC ($1.64 BSP) in the Flight Stakes. Stug returned $775 for the round to beat Josh1528 on $584, who had $100 on SIR DELIUS and APOCALYPTIC. Jez was third for the round on $435 with $50 each way on ROYAL SUPREMACY ($8.18 and $3.65) in the Metropolitan and $100 on BRIASA ($2.35 BSP) in the Premiere Stakes.

Backing $100 on the three shorties APOCALYPTIC, BRIASA and AUTUMN GLOW would’ve returned you $90 (without a return on the other two races) – Nato was the only one to actually do this (thanks to a sub). The other interesting stat was that only three tipsters backed SIR DELIUS.

The overall leaderboard sees a change at the top after the Cat went -$500! Josh1528 now leads on $1214.50, from Benny Leal on $1176.80 and the Cat back to third on $698.30. Top 10 below. There are 15 tipsters in the positive after 7 rounds and 16 races. However, we aren’t even close to halfway! There are still 33 races still to tip. So the comp is still anyone’s. This week we are tipping another five races!

We now have a tie for first in the Captain Consistency Award, with Josh1528 now moving onto 5 points along with Sniffles. Benny Leal is one back on 4.
