Trump scales Everest 🏔️

We are officially over halfway through the competition, with just 21 races left to tip. You could say we’ve already scaled Everest and are on our way back down. Some tipsters have slipped, some may fall into a crevice (like the 18 who scored -$700 this round) and perhaps one or two will finish like an avalanche. It was a great weekend of racing and I was jealous of those who got to attend the Everest or the forgotten Caulfield Cup.

This week it was the big Don, Trump MAGA who took home the weekly prize with a score of $1197.25. Trump had $100 on OLE DANCER ($6.40 BSP) in the Thousand Guineas, $100 on CEOLWULF ($10.77 BSP) in the King Charles and $25 place on both TEMPTED ($3.96 BSP place) and JIMMSTAR ($3.25 BSP place) in the Everest. Boz was second on $988.50, with $50 place on CHIDIAC ($7.73 BSP place) in the Kosciuszko, $75 place on TEMPTED in the Everest, $100 on OLE DANCER and $100 on LINEBACKER ($3.65 BSP) in the Silver Eagle. SearleyBird took third on $705.50 after a very consistent tipping round with returns on five races: $100 on HALF YOURS ($2.70 BSP) in the Caulfield Cup, $100 on CLEAR THINKING ($4.07 BSP) in the Kosciuszko, $50 on IOWNA MERC ($6.52 BSP place) in the Sydney Stakes, $100 on KA YING RISING and $50 on LINEBACKER.

I should mention that the comp was in serious threat of ending when Rodda had $100 win on RIVER OF STARS, who narrowly went down in the Caulfield Cup despite an interrupted run. RIVER OF STARS would’ve paid $155 BSP and given Rod a huge lead! Just shows you are never out of the comp, just need to find the diamond in the rough.

In the overall leaderboard, The Cat has extended his lead to over $1000! He leads on $1875.20 from Wardy on $741 and Law on $447. There are only 11 tipsters in the positive!
