Law has become the second two-time winner of the Group 1 Tipping Comp after a comprehensive performance in the final round (Rodda of course being the inaugural two-time and three-time champ). Law has also clean swept the rest of the awards having already won the Cup Week Hero and now adding the Captain Consistency Award, taking home a total of $1336!
The final round was actually won by Jez, with a total of $546, having $100 on JIMMYSTAR ($1.86 BSP) in the C.F. Orr Stakes and $100 on COAL CRUSHER ($6.60 BSP) in the Hunter. Chadzero was second on $360 with $100 on COAL CRUSHER and Chriso third on $323 with $100 on INKARUNA ($6.23 BSP) in the Thoroughbred Club Stakes.
The final leaderboard saw Law win comfortably on $3055.10 after posting a profit of $216 in the final round. The Cat, who went all out for victory, finished on $1437.60, holding off a fast finishing Chriso on $1274. Dogbet finished 4th on $738, fulling agonizingly short in both the podium and Captain Consistency. Kilsby was 5th on $466. Only the top 10 remained in the positive!
Simmo managed to maintain his 100% losing record to win his 4th Wooden Spoon 🥄…..that is some fucking effort that!
