Simmo has celebrated another pathetic season of tipping by capping it with his 3rd wooden spoon. Despite only being $48 behind his nearest rival JP, Simmo bravely attempted to win the comp – a feat which would guarantee him becoming the worst tipster in Merc’s Group 1 history. $100 on Nature Strip is all it would’ve taken.
CAPTAIN CONSISTENCY
Ryan Ward has capped a stellar debut season by winning the inaugural Captain Consistency Award. Ryan returned a positive score in 7 of the 12 rounds to win the comp by 1 point from Ben Searle, Benny Leal and Nelso. He also finished 5th overall. Congrats to Wardy!
CUP WEEK HERO
Despite falling short in the overall award, Nelso has cleaned up the Cup Week Hero Award for the best performed from Derby Day to Stakes Day. He finished on $2734 to win from Rodda on $2107.50. Congrats Nelso!
