The Hassall Factor

The round 11 win goes to perennial nice guy and the unluckiest loser in competition history, John Hassall. Hass returned $1659.75 to win by a nose ($22.75) from Chriso. Hass tipped $100 on Bella Nipotina ($15.04 BSP), $25 on OZZMOSIS ($21.37) and $50 on RIFF ROCKET ($2.43). Chriso had $100 on OZZMOSIS, but wasn’t able to find a winner in the other races. Skinny was in third on $1296 after having $100 on PRIDE OF JENNI ($17.96).

Overall, Austin struck out again – he’s genuinely not here to fuck spiders – and stuck to his strategy (no tipping faves here). Austin leads on $6497. The big mover was Rusty, who is now on second on $3394.50 (a round 10 return of $1247). Law slips to third on $3096.75.

In the Captain Consistency, Chriso has taken outright lead on 7 points!

We have a big week coming up with the Melbourne Cup and Big Dance tomorrow and the Oaks on Thursday. This is all part of round 11. The Annual Ladies Day Poll will take place with the tipping for the Oaks (well that is the plan currently).

This week’s poll results was looking at the big musical acts gracing the Flemington lawns. I hear that Joel Corry was pretty good on Saturday. But tried and trusted formula of Hot Dub wins this poll. I wonder if I had not mentioned Nat Bass, Rogue Traders would’ve scored any votes???
