In an action packed and extremely open finish to the comp, Worm has somehow held on to claim his maiden G1 Tipping Crown. Surprisingly, all the major contenders going into the final round failed to land a significant blow, leaving worm on top by $224.50, despite losing $290 on the day. Worms only win of the day was $100 on Ellsberg ($3.10) in the Five Diamonds. A tip which he changed and resubmitted just 1 minute before the cutoff (12:29pm to be precise!!). Without this winning tip, SimBet™ would’ve won the comp.
Simmo really only has himself to blame, moving away from his tried and trusted formula of win bets. He had $30win/$70place on Zaaki instead of $100 on the win. He also tipped Masked Crusader each way, and had Baller as his sub!! A tragedy beaten, but was able to hold onto second by $39 by making $213 profit for the round. Austin produced a composed final round of $170 to hold onto third. Nato had the best final round of the contenders banking $515, but it wasn’t enough to get in the money. Ovs bombed out with -$600.
Going into the final race, Millers was thought to be a live chance with Snapper, who traded as high as $51 (top fluc was paid as $51!) Unfortunately for Mills, Snapper was backed late and top tote only paid $22.60. So in the end Mills would’ve need a price of about $43 to win.

ROUND 12 WINNER
Clint took out the round honours on $2410, after having $100 on Roch ‘N’ Horse in the Sprint ($24.60) and $100 on Alligator Blood in the Champions Mile ($5.50). A fast finishing Millers was in 2nd on $1935 with $100 on Snapper in the last race ($22.60) and $50 on Alligator Blood. Brockylogan was in 3rd on $1247 thanks to Snapper being his active sub in the last race.
Sim Shaw took home the most consistent tipster award with 7 rounds in the positive out of 12. In the final round Sim was able to eek out am $8 profit, but thats all that was required for victory! Dogbet unfortunately was unable match in the final round and fell short by 1 point.
Chriso took out the Cup Week Hero Award on $2530, from Worm ($2430) and Austin ($2320). Not a bad effort from 15 races.
